Asphalt rollers
BOMAG is synonymous with top quality and high performance. Our vibratory rollers are used successfully all over the world. With over 60 years of experience in road rollers and compaction equipment, we are the undisputed industry leader.
The aim of our design engineers is to make every newly developed asphalt roller even better, more economical and more productive. A BOMAG roller simply has to be able to get the job done faster and more comfortably.
With the two front and rear drums, a BOMAG tandem roller compacts the paving material twice in a single pass. Compaction can be either static or dynamic. These vibratory rollers achieve the best compaction values when compacting an asphalt surface course, asphalt binder layer or asphalt base course - with a minimum of passes. If the machines are equipped with measuring technology, compaction progress can be measured and tracked at any time. BOMAG road rollers can be used efficiently and economically on almost all modern rolled asphalt materials - including stone mastic asphalt (SMA) or low temperature asphalt (LTA). BOMAG asphalt rollers are equipped with different vibration systems, such as double vibration or oscillation, depending on the model. These road construction rollers can achieve high density and strength particularly quickly and gently. The result is the required minimum settlement and permeability of the paved material.
TANDEM ROLLERS with a weight of up to 5 t are suitable for repair and finishing work in road construction as well as for path and pavement laying. BOMAG lightweight tandem rollers are also ideal for landscaping work. For larger road or motorway construction projects, heavy-duty ARTICULATED BOMAG ASPHALT ROLLERS weighing between 5 and 16 t or heavy PIVOT-STEERED BOMAG ROAD ROLLERS weighing 7 t to 10 t are the best choice.
BOMAG’s pivot-steered vibratory rollers are ideal for gentle compaction of the asphalt layer, especially in the "crab walk" mode. It also increases the working width. Crab walk is also often used in work areas where tandem rollers need to pass directly by obstacles, kerbs or walls with the front drum. The rear frame then moves offset to avoid collisions.
These RUBBER-TYRED ROLLERS can be ballasted flexibly and, with the kneading and rolling effect produced by the tyres, promote good layer bonding in asphalt paving. A pneumatic roller can be perfectly adapted to the special requirements on the construction site by ballasting.
A BOMAG road roller is characterised by its clever machine concept, the use of pioneering technologies and maximum durability. It incorporates decades of experience of the compaction technology experts from Boppard. BOMAG pneumatic rollers and smooth drum rollers can be used even in challenging site conditions where quality and efficiency demands are particularly high. Clever assistance systems on BOMAG road rollers can support the machine operator in their daily work. In addition to the comprehensive standard equipment, a BOMAG asphalt roller can be supplied with a wide range of practical optional features that make working with the vibratory roller even more convenient.
