The BW 211 D-40 SL single drum roller is setting new standards in soil compaction. All the expertise and experience have been channeled into the development of the “-40” series. The civil engineering contractor offers a variety of services from earth moving work, civil engineering, drainage, to heavy equipment rental from various manufacturers. PT. Karyamitra Tata Bersama has the experience of more than 20 years in civil engineering.

CLIENT test site 2: PT. Sukses Mandiri Berkah

The general contractor and supplier is engaged in landfilling and compaction, the rental of heavy equipment, and dump truck transport services on the island of Java.

The results

Results Test Site 1: Semarang – Demak Toll Road

2 lanes of 20m length were set up for the trials. A CBR test was taken after each pass
The CBR results after each pass were higher than the ones of the competitor’s roller, indicating a better overall compaction performance of the BW 211 D-40 SL.
Based on the standard operating conditions, the SL roller also showed higher productivity and less fuel consumption.

Test Site 2: Kertajati Airport Toll Road

2 lanes of 20m length were set up for the trials. A CBR test was taken after each pass, the density was measured after the final pass.
The CBR increase was more consistent across all passes compared with the competitor’s machine, which indicated a high deviation across all passes.
The BW 211 D-40 SL also achieved a higher final density than the competitor´s machine.

The ECONOMIZER advantage

The ECONOMIZER readings and CBR results showed a possible reduction of the number of passes by about 50%. This means a higher productivity and less fuel consumption.
