Professional solutions for compaction technology and asphalt construction.Successful Projects
From May 30 to June 19, 2020, 180 tons of asphalt were used on the 1,400 m² of road surface at Hafjell bike park, Norway. The compaction of the subgrade was carried out by the BW 213 DH-5 heavy single drum roller. The BVP 10/30 single direction vibratory plate demonstrated its capabilities when working on narrow sections and shaping the radii in steep banked turns.
A new circuit with waves and banked turns has been built on the 2,350 m² area of the Hafjell bike park. In total, the specialists from Pathfinder Traildesign have processed 4,200 t of mineral aggregate. 180 t of asphalt were used on the 1,400 m² of road surface. The compaction of the subgrade was carried out by the BW 213 DH-5 heavy single drum roller. The BVP 10/30 single direction vibratory plate demonstrated its capabilities when working on narrow sections and shaping the radii in steep banked turns. The vibratory plate also achieved excellent results while working outside of its actual area of application on extremely steep slopes.
The client Hafjell Sommer AS is the operator of one of the largest bike parks in Europe. The park has been continuously expanded since its opening in 2003 and currently has 18 different routes with a total length of 25 km.
Pathfinder Trail Design & Construction (GER) as main contractor in cooperation with Pedersen Active Consult AS (NOR) was responsible for the planning, implementation and design of the pump track. Pathfinder Traildesign specializes in the design and construction of mountain bike routes and trail parks.
The compact dimensions, balance and ideal weight of the BVP 10/30 are what make it the “Swiss Army Knife for Trail Builders”. Depending on the area you plan to use it, it can also be operated alone without any problems. The lightweight is unbeatable, especially in steeper curves. The machine works delicately, which is a very advantageous quality when forming radii in curves. In addition, the plate runs reliably and has avery high quality finish.
